Its currently between a 2010 3.0 Diesel Premium Luxury (very clean) with 65k miles at £8K or a 2014 2.2 Diesel Portfolio (very very good condition) with 40K at £12.5K. Hi all, my X type (55 reg, 2006) 2.2 diesel just failed its MOT on emission reading of 1.96, the plate value is 1.45. Is the fail reading very high, and what can I do bring the reading down to pass emissions test? Cheers, Tom

I have a Jaguar X type 2007 2.2 diesel. When switching on the engine the idling is extremely rough and the first few miles of driving produce a very jerky /misfiring reaction from the engine. The problem seems to ease off once the engine has reached normal operating temperature I have a Jaguar X type 2007 2.2 diesel.
I bought a 2014 premium luxury (Sportbrake) with 3.0 diesel 240 (not the 275 S as that comes with bigger wheels and lower profile tyres, more vulnerable to potholes). Very pleased with it indeed - performance seems better than my previous 2.7D S-Type remapped to a claimed 258bhp, and economy 3-4 mpg better too.
