Also started with the suspension fault normal height only. I am assuming that something is amiss with the compressors, will find out after they have read the codes. If I don't need to be asking the car to go into either access mode or extended height this can wait a while? Cheers, Jollybodger : 18th May 2013 11:43 am
OK.. the compressor is in It runs. but.. first, it ran for at least 3 mins, and the suspension didnt come off the bump stops. When I selected offroad height, it pumped up in 10-15s to full height and shut off. Then I selected normal height, and it bled out air, until it stopped at a nice leveled point. seems right. If your vehicle is slammed, does not come up, has a very bouncy ride, suspension fault, falls overnight; then check out the video to fix it yourself at homeR
Air Suspension Light - and code C1A20. I have a 2006 RRS HSE. For the past two months it has been code, and I have noticed the rear left side will sink down to bump stop over 2-3 days when parked. This week, I was seeing suspension warning light come on, about 30 seconds after start up.
I was getting the same Suspension Fault, Normal Height Only message as mhewitt on a regular basis. Never went down to the bump stops or failed. I let it get to the point where it came on every trip after about a couple of minutes before I was able to schedule a replacement. Two poster lift wheel's hanging down. Run the car through the gears and let it down for test run on road. When the car was back on the ground I had the "Suspension Will Rise when System Cooled" message, went for the test run, front never lifted and hasn't lifted since, back looks normal height. Checked and cleared fault codes. Weekend 1 spend all day fitting tree sliders, put car to off-road height to have better access the lower sill rear screws. Rear end jacked up. Rounded off tree slider fixing bolt, snapped another. Moving car around a few yards on the drive. Hit the switch to get back down to standard height and then bong, 'suspension normal height only'.

Northern Illinois. Dec 11, 2022. #3. Well here’s the deal. Your compressor is more than likely the problem causing your normal height only message. The problem is that won’t cause it to lower itself normally. So when the car lowers itself it’s really pissed off about something and it’s probably not the compressor.
