Now l don't know if it's just me or it's a feature, but the mercenary units available for recruiting from taverns are so weak. l saw only thugs and master thug, trade weapon archer or something like that dunno what's that. The strongest unit l discovered was after last patch (dunno if it's related or not) was hired blade.

PSA: You can destroy mercenary clans if you execute all 4 members at the same time. Typically, when you execute mercenary clan members, they just keep recruiting people until they are back up to 4. However, if you keep them prisoner until you've collected all 4 of them, if you execute them all at the same time, the clan is destroyed.
And mercenary contracts turn influence into money. In order to get negative influence you need to attack a faction that you’re not in war with which immediately declares war and tanks your influence. So you need to win battles with enemy lords in order to raise influence and clan level quick.
Keep hunting their lords. They'll eventually take deals with other kingdoms and will eventually disband all together it takes a bit but it'll go away if they don't have a castle or town for long enough. To speed it up you can try recruiting them too. 8. GetKhumDhan69.
